Found: Sources in Africa and the West Coast of America.

Obtained from: The fruit. Deep green when first produced, often changing to orange/yellow.

Extracted by: Cold pressing. Slightly sticky oil.

Properties: Natural UV sunscreen agents. Contains 56-75% oleic acid.

Contains: Vitamins, protein and lecithin. Avocado oil is rich in fatty acids.

Suitable for: Internal use and external application. All skins, and is very nourishing. The lecithin content aids in breaking down fatty tissue.

Beneficial for: Especially dry, dehydrated skin, wrinkles, scars, and eczema. Anti-aging, softening, healing. Ideal emollient. Superb penetration due to the lecithin content, especially useful when there is a large amount of subcutaneous fat. Added to other carrier oils, aids their penetration.

Uses: Forms the foundation of tropical skin cream, body lotions, and facial cleansers. It is the ideal emollient used in body lotions, creams, and facial cleansers.
